Section 2 – Starting Stats

Your Intelligence needs to be 9.  Do not gimp on this 1.  The first thing you do when you leave the vault is book ass to Rivet City and get the Intelligence Bobblehead.  This makes your starting intelligence 10, and it means you get a full 20 points to distribute when you level up.  With the Educated Perk (level 4) You will get 23 points to distribute every level.  I will go into more detail on stats in section 5.

I usually lower Str so I can up everything (but lk) to 6.  Make sure you are going to reach most of your perk requirements.  If you don’t have the requirement you will need to use an intense training to bring that stat up.  Also Keep in mind that the Ant Might Perk from completing the “Those!” Quest adds 1 to Str OR the Ant Sight Perk (you can only get 1) adds 1 to Perception.  You can also do the Big Trouble in Big Town Quest and Get The Lucky 8 Ball.  If it is in your inventory when you level, You can get perks that rely on it.  Keep that in mind when you pick your stats.

WARNING: IF YOU GET THE LUCKY 8 BALL (I RECOMMEND YOU DO) DROP IT BEFORE YOU HIT LEVEL 30.  IF YOU DROP IT AFTER YOU GET “ALMOST PERFECT” THEN YOUR LUCK WILL DROP TO 8 AND SCREW UP YOUR BUILD.  THE SAME THING WILL HAPPEN IF YOU HAVE IT IN YOUR INVENTORY WHEN YOU GET THE LUCK BOBBLEHEAD, SO DROP IT BEFORE YOU PICK IT UP.

I only needed to do intense training once (I went 3 on S, 6 on P, 5 on E, 6 on C, 9 on I, 6 on A, 5 on L) so I intense trained Str to 4 and went and got ant might and the lucky 8 ball and was able to get all my perks.
